    Me Too!

But, didn't fix the speed probem...

We may need to take a collection up to buy new servers?

Either that or monthly pledges to increase the available bandwith?

I can't say anything about the speed of the board as I never had a problem with the old one, but the new one sure does a search faster then the old one.

UBB had major problems in their searches, and vBulletin does a much better job of it.

Y'all sound like a bunch of Lutherans, complaining that they liked the old lightbulbs better.

Would it be better if an Anglican complained?:saint:

I have a little difficulty navigating, but that is me. I had the same problem with another site when it changed.....I haven't been back there since.

I fear there are not many sites worth visiting anymore. I like the people who post here, and that alone will make me persevere until I get it right.

I had to change the autograph I had from the very beginning,,the Jim Elliot quote...cos someone else stripped it from me. Oh well, new quote in place. A quote by Dr. John Wilmot, a former professor from England.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Well I'd be ok if this box I'm writting in would print larger than size 8 fon't and everyone would write bigger than a size 8 font. The small print is hurting my eyes. But I might just have to adjust and get glasses. or a bigger screen? How come I see some big print and how do we enlarge it to the size Briony and Chimnitz fon't size?

    Is this better? Or this?
We can change the size of font before we write anything.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Jim~ I sure hope I didn't upset you.
But... It is not so on the quick post (see pad and pencil next to the "QUOTE" button on the lower right hand side of you post) and I cannot make the writting on the whole page bigger. On the old board I could change the font size by holding down the "Ctrl" button and roll my scroll wheel on my mouse. So yes I'm not thrilled with this new setup. Maybe webmaster can figure out how to fix this.

I just tried that with the "Quick reply" box right below your post, and it worked. I never knew you could change the font like that before.
But then, as I have mentioned elsewhere, the "Quick Reply" button doesn't work at all.

The things I like best about the new system is the WYSIWYG feature, where formatting is applied automatically, instead of needing tags. And to have it in the final font, it is much easier to catch typos in the proportional space fonts than in the old Courier typewriter text.

Really because on the board it is showing small type like my post?
Guess it will take a whole lot of getting use to. Just to let those replying to me on any boards if you want me to be able to read it.... I pray that you make the type atleast the size of Jims post. :praying:

Music4Him, I have to change the font each time. There should be some place to set small, medium, large and larger and have it remain there.

I was not upset about anything. Never trouble about that with me. I am old enough to let most things slide aside anyway.

I am sure a lot of things will get ironed out over time....meanwhile, we just have to move along. My vision is not the greatest either. I have to change glasses all the time, and have a special prescription just for the computer,,,then another set for reading,,,,a set for straight walking outdoors, viewing the telly..then bifocals for reading the newspaper.......

    Cheers,

    Jim

There are options in IE to ignore FONT Style & Size commands giving you, the user, back control...

    Hope this helps?

    Ok SMM~
I went there and I must be computer illiterate, because I couldn't get it to work. But here on the board the font size will work on the "Quote" button on the lower right hand side of each post and the "Reply" button on either the top left or lower left located below the last post. But the "quick reply" button does not have a font size adjuster that I see. So I will have to just use those two formats.

    Increase font size: 0, 10, 25, 50%

It now makes the BB now look like the old one in blue format.
