Many are complain that the Dem Lame Ducks are trying to push as much as they can though Congress, before 31 Dec 10- because after that the House will become a Republican stronghold.

The Republicans lost the House in 2004. I was wondering if the Republican Lame Ducks acted the same way for those some 6 weeks following the election?

I'm thinking they did not, because the Dem's nor the media is saying anything about it. I am sure they would have brought it up if it were true.

Sounds like the Rep's are getting their earmarks in as well even though they voted to get rid of them.

They know they are wrong/hurtful but won't give em up if they can get em!

The GOP lost the House and the Senate in 2006.

Do we really want a loose House? Isn't it bad enough without being loose? :)

Maybe. We'll have to wait and see when they present a budget. Republicans just killed the pork laden (by both parties) omnibus proposal by democrats.

Not all Republicans are fiscal conservatives. Perhaps those who are not will be pared out of the herd in 2012.

According to Rush Limbaugh these are earmarks that the R's requested 2 years ago - and that the bill was begun being prepared in Feb 10 - in anticipation that the D's would loose the election.

I was saddened and shocked to learn one of my own Senators had at least one earmark in the Omnibus Bill. Saxby Chambliss.

SHAME, SHAME, SHAME! *THAT* *WILL* be remembered when he comes up for reelection in two to four years!

Chambliss was relected in 2008 and his second term will end in 2014
