Lottie Moon - female preachers . . .

    There is a lot of negativity on this forum about female preachers. What are your thoughts about Lottie Moon?

    She served God to the best of her ability, and God honored it.

    Note, I approve of both male and female preachers.

    The only negativity would be that scriptures very clear only Men called to preach and be pastors, its called spiritual headship!

    She witnessed to men.

    One of her testimonies was that after leading some women to Christ - they told their husbands. A few of them came to her door and asked if she was the woman telling the women about Christ.

    She said she was frightened, but said yes. They then said, "Will you tell us?"

    One or more were saved - and one of them became a preacher who lead 1,000's to Christ. That's not a sermon, per se, but she did lead them to Christ.

    I have no problem whatsoever with women witnessing to men. The woman at the well did so and no one thinks that to be wrong. What the Bible forbids is a woman taking authority over men, not individual conversation. At any rate, Lottie was an amazing woman.

    Whoa, hold on there, partner! :eek: Not joining the SBC, though I have friends there.

    But I will admit (this can't go any further) that once upon a time I preached a Lottie Moon offering.... :eek:

    See John - you've got it all wrong - you cant join the SBC - you become a SB,by joining a SBC affiliated church! :Biggrin :Laugh :Roflmao
