I'm having a little difficulty trying to reconcile what Jesus taught in Luke 16:9 with the doctrine of separation from worldly people.

Can someone help me out on this?

believe that jesus main point in this story was to make sure that we as Christians understand the true use of worldly wealth, that we are good stewards of it, using it to glory of God, and thus part of God work...

For example, if we give to help missions, we will in heaven see them the Lord saved due to in someway us freely giving to that work!

How do you understand the idea of separation here?

We are in the world, not of the world.
We disciples can use our money/wealth to bring others to faith in Jesus and so secure a warm reception into heaven.

    As Dwight Pentecost said,
"A foolish person lives only for the present and uses personal wealth only for the present. A wise person considers the future and uses personal wealth to reap benefits in the future . ."
