MacArthur Study Bible uses NIV

    I really don't understand why you ask the kind of questions you do when the information is supplied.

    The 2011 NIV text will remain intact and MacArthur's notes/commentary will be inserted as it has been done with a variety of Bible versions in English and many foreign languages.

    Boy the NIV [slur snipped and replace with "users" and even then, this is a sad comment] need every ounce to feel good about their use of it don't they.

    I don't know of anyone who worships the NIV, just interesting that he called the TNIV a disaster but the NIV is okay. Not much was changed from TNIV to NIV.

    I personally dislike the NASB and Mac uses it in his great commentary series. His call.

    I think the NKJV he uses in his study Bible is more to my taste, but with weaker Greek. Again, his call.

    So if he wants to use the ESV, or the Holman, or the NIV, guess what I would say? Yep. His call.

    If you don't like it (or him) that is YOUR call. :saint:
