Major League Soccer?

    I spent several years in Scotland when I was in the military. During that time I gained a deep appreciation not only of the great fish-n-chips in Dunoon, Scotland but the great "football" of the country.

    I follow the KC Wizards now. The Chicago Fire are a team I like quite a bit too. Anybody else like soccer? What teams?

    My church is soccer crazy and they all go the several Wizards games every year. Personally I'd rather watch the grass grow on the field.

    So, I guess with all this prayer for the Wizards, they should be a sure-thing for the MLS cup this year.....hmmmm...gambling is *so* tempting in situations like this ;)

    I personally find soccor quite fun to watch in person and boring to watch on TV. That is not good for MLS since TV contracts are a huge piece of the business revenue for sports.

    Also when I was in the military, I was involved with the Navigators (great organization by the way) and we would play soccer almost every weekend in the summer. Like any sport, its hard to think of it as boring if you've played much.

    I guess that is why I would have to disagree with Dr. Bob and say Golf is the most boring sport invented. But, WNBA is up there - for that matter, I'm not much of a basketball fan in general.

    I prefer watching the game at the stadium to on TV but I still catch it on TV when I have time...this year hasn't granted much time, unfortunately.
