'Tis the season to be jolly! But why not at other times of the year? 'Tis the month to lie to your children, so do your best to tickle their ear. Enlighten their minds with many a fantastic tale, but know that you're preparing their souls for hell.

Magical men and magical deer! These lies told so often, your conscience will sear. Buy them a present, or two, or ten. Raise them up to be covetous men. Go into debt, if you positively must, in order to fulfill their material lust.

Yet, amongst all the busyness brought on by this season, folks must force themselves to "Remember the real reason." Stuff Christ in that manger yet once again, and gather some sheep and the old wise men. This is the Jesus that this sinful world loves, for how could a baby harm even a dove? A babe in a manger reproves not their sin; so unrepentant "Christians" welcome him in.

But a risen Saviour will scarce be made mention, for He would bring their sins to their direct attention! Hating false ways is a trait of this Lord, and He cuts to their hearts with a two-edged Sword. The people delight in their Ho! Ho! Ho!; so this rebuking Jesus has got to go!

Amen Granny! That little baby is coming back to judge the world with a fiery sword in His mouth.

Sarah, tell your friend I said Happy Sonshine day.

Oh please! You're saying that if your kids believe in Santa Claus, then they're hellbound. That's ridiculous, offensive, judgemental, and frankly, it's got to be one of the stupidest things I've ever seen posted on this board by you!

Oh, thank-you Johnv! The world continually sinks to new lows before a Righteous and Holy God and you're keeping up with my posts.

Santa/Satan Claus is NOT of God and the Holy Scriptures say that "whatsoever is not of faith is sin". Lies to further the traditions of men are certainly sin, having nothing to do with God, as satan is the father of lies; even the seemingly small and harmless ones.

You're committing a sin by giving Satan power and credit for whething that he doesn't deserve. It is you, not I, who is furthering Satan, not I.

I findint incredibly amusing that you will say that Satan is the father of all lies, but not recognize the lie of KJVOism which you have in the past so vehemently espoused.

If you insist that Santa Claus is satanic because Satan is the father of all lies, then you must be consistent with your thinking, and also say that KJVOism is satanic because Satan is the father of all lies.

Read the words, Johnv...preparing their souls for hell. Lies lead to hell! "Yea, hath God said?"

It amazes me how much credit that is given to Satan. He is not all powerful.

I was taught and then I taught my children that Santa represents the spirit of giving at Christmas time. Santa was not in place of Baby Jesus, but was addition to the story of how God sent his Son.

In my humble opinion, Christians should celebrate Christmas. We should celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. We are taught the spirit of giving. We can glorify our Lord in the celebration. It is a family time of giving.

Further, I think our God wants us to have fun and delight in the beauty that surrounds us in this world.

Why would I want my children to believe that a gluttonous catholic can see them when they are sleeping? He knows if you've been bad or good? This man is a counterfeit Christ from his little red cap to his shiny black boots. I wonder how many little children are praying to that fat usurper right now, hoping he will hear them in case that letter didn't get there in time.

Your lack of responding to the post as a whole is noted.

Let everyone be convinced in his own mind .... not everyone else's mind.

I would no more take away their Cristmas tree
than I would take away your KJV.

You're free to refrain from engaging in Christmas customs, and free to use only the KJV. While I disagree with your reasonings on them, I will nonetheless defend your right to do so on both counts.

We never believed in Santa. We gave gifts as a remembrance of God's gift of His Son and Christ's gift of salvation. We always read the Christmas account out of Luke and the crucifixion account out of John before opening any presents. It was a great time of communion among our family... and I intend to institute this among my children as well.

Twice a year actually; the same thing comes up at Passover.

Why did Joseph, Mary, and Jesus entertain Satan? The word magical is based on Magi, a priestly class in Media and Persian, and their various arts, spells, charms, et al, including astrology, which is the basis of certain ones' interest in the birth of a king.
