Making up a "holiday"?

    Read a very interesting article in the Kansas City newspaper over the holiday weekend that suggested Christmas was observed very early in the church. They researcher they interviewed even quoted some of the church fathers and other extant writings. Also suggested that the pagans of the third and fourth centuries "stole" the celebration of Jesus' birthday from the Christians because of the waning effect taking place in their own religions (losing people to Christianity).
