Good! It is just a number between 665 & 667. What an idiot.

It's "good" to you that someone was fired for not wearing a stupid sticker that has nothing to do with his job or his job performance?

...and then he ends it with a derogatory name, i.e. "idiot?" I'm certain somehow he'll find it justifiable for a Christian to behave this way.

And what is a piece of thin rubber? Yet...http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/archive/ldn/2000/feb/00020803 a Hasidic Jew was fired for refusing to sell condoms, claiming his religious rights were infringed. Is he an idiot also IYO? Then how about the many retail and other employees who refuse to work on the sabbath? The hospital staffers who will not assist with abortions? The native American in south Texas who refused to cut his hair as his law enforcement job required?

Job performance includes subordination. Its not like the employer asked him to wear an antichrist sticker, it was a safety achievement.

The loss of his job in this case.
If he took the job knowing he would have to, yes.
See above (and the sabbath is not sunday)
Why did they take a job there, and if their views have since changed, why haven't they quit? Yes
    See second response

The guy should have tripped on his way to the meeting. This would have been a workplace injury. He could then start the next day wearing the number one.

Would you have the same attitude your employer required you to wear a satanic costume at your job? As a reminder that "the devil is in the details".

There is a matter of the accomodation of the faith of the employees.

If this man felt that it was a violation of his religious beliefs to wear 666 then the employer had an obligation to make a reasonable accomodation.

Not wearing the 666 sticker did not have an adverse impact on the employer.

Targus, so are you for capitalism and less regulation and restrictions on business only when it suits you? Employers should be able to require whatever they want out of employees. Employees are then free to choose to work there or not.

What's the complaint? Insufficient government regulations? <G>

That's what happens when one works a scab job with no labor contract. You all want to have your cake and eat it. In the real world, you pays your money and makes your choice. You want to work a scab job? Either the boss or the government is king. How can it be otherwise?

What if he went to burger king, and his bill was $6.66 ?

This is silly. I don't know if he should have been fired, but if you READ the bible, instead of throwing it around to try and trip up people, you would know the # of the beast is not anything, if it isn't on the right hand, or the forehead.

non sequitur...and silly. The devil is behind 666 days of no accidents?!?

has nothing to do with accomodation and faith. Its this kind of thing that gives christianity a bad name and makes is look foolish.

not even close. There is no violation of religious beliefs in wearing a sticker celebrating 666 days of being accident free. Was it used as shock marketing? Possibly, but still acceptable.
insubordination always has an adverse affect on the employer. This is not an accomodation issue, but an ignorance issue (as we can see by the sabbath comment in this thread). Would this employee also have an issue with wearing a 777 day accident free sticker? I'm guessing not, but the legalist in me would be outraged that someone could dare wear the number reserved for our Lord alone! You see how silly this can get? This employee's next job should be pharissee.
