Jesus is not the Father- and that is the point. If Jesus had an identical will as the father, there would be no need for him to be under subjection of the father. Christ had a different will than the father about his death in the garden- but he proclaimed 'not my will but thine be done.' That is two wills in one God- Jesus has a will and so does the father.

Lucifer had a will and used it in a wrong way causing his fall from grace and his Heavenly abode. All sinners have a will either to obey the call to salvation or to reject the plan in which Jesus is central [John 3:16].

    John 3:16 NIV

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

"Whoever" - whatever person; anyone that believes in him.

This verse and chapter does not say sinners have the will to obey the call to salvation, it does not give any details as to why they accept or reject the plan. Neither does it say who is responsible for their conversion. There just isn't enough information given to understand fully the implications for rejecting or accepting Christ.

Stop assuming what you've heard all your life and find the truth by studying His Word.

Whoever = "who" out of "ever"yone. The verse says that whoever believes (who out of everyone) will not perish, not whatever or anyone that believes. Stop trying to fit the passage into your theology.

You either believe in Evolution or the Creation view as to the beginnings of humankind.

Did this take your mind, understanding and will to make such a decision?

Of course, and so too those who believe in Jesus have willed their intention toward the Lord God.

It's not difficult. And you do not have to go through mental gymnastics to frustrate the meaning of John 3:16.

Webdog, this is our theology. We have been saying this for a long time. Why do you pretend like we believe something else? We believe that whoever believes out of everyone will be saved.
