    Lets go LSU, beat UCLA!!!

Just when I was bragging how impressive Memphis looked live, they laid an egg. Is UCLA that good? It should be very interesting to see the LSU and UCLA matchup.

How about an all SEC final with Florida facing LSU?

Sorry, There is no way I want to see Florida in the championship. LSU definitely, though. They look good to win the entire thing. There is no way UCONN will make it to the Final Four. They have been "lucky" too many times already. It is going to catch up with them sooner, rather than later. Go GMU!

The luck caught up with UConn. George Mason? Give me a break... There is no way they should have beat UConn. This team lost focus more than once late in the season and it cost them a chance at the final four...

UConn were not making baskets. They let George Masn get ahead right from the beginning, and as the saying goes, the one who wants the win most wins.....Good on George Mason.

That is my last team selection out of this Final Four....no teams left for me.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Like I said it would catch up with them sooner, rather than later. You gotta give GMU credit. I thought they would lose it during OT. It was a great game.

George Mason has beaten Michigan State, North Carolina and UConn, they deserve to be where they are at. They play as a team and very hard. I enjoy watching them, and will be pulling for them in the final four.

UConn had a 9 point lead midway through the 2nd half and evidently thought they had it won. Nobody told GMU that the game was over. I told my son late in the game that there was no way UConn was going to win because they couldn't stop GMU from scoring.

Filmproducer, when I saw this post about 3 hours ago or so, I was tempted to write something like you were crazy and there was no way George Mason was going to win.

    Who's crazy now?

    Good call. [IMG]

I predict GMU's run is now over and either Florida or Villanova (my original pick to win it all) will beat George Mason by double digits.

I think they are now spent, but I do give them credit for a great run...

No way! GMU has proven they have what it takes to win, and they have the HEART. I am also pulling for them in the final four. I would love to see an LSU/GMU championship match-up.

Can we say that maybe the SEC was slightly underrated among conferences, at least, with two of the top three teams in that conference in the Final Four? Which according to my figures is two more than the Big East?

[IMG] I was thinking the same thing myself, Ed. Where are the ACC, and other power conferences now? I say that LSU will go all the way. I am still rooting for GMU over Florida, although I know it might be a long shot.

And now [alligator tears] Michigan gets 'beat on' like a drum? by "a very mediocre South Carolina team", as one person somewhere said, for the NIT crown, becoming the only repeat winner of this tourney in over 60 years. Go, SEC!

Just to refresh anyone's memory, SC lost the SEC tourney and automatic bid, by two points, and by virtue of a missed field goal attempt, [shooting .300 from the field, BTW, while their opponents shot .488 for the game] and a made attempt by the other team in the finals of that tourney. Uh- you also do remember that other team? Florida?

They'll be playing Saturday, and the current 'best guess' to win two more games.

Well, that is, if they can somehow get by Ohio State, UConn, 'Nova, Duke, Texas, UNC, Memphis, and 'Zaga. I'm sorry. Uh - Did you say that that 'Elite Eight' had already gone home???

    My bad!

One prediction I made that I got right.

I think Florida wins it all on Monday regardless of who they play..., but go LSU over UCLA!

I hope the Florida looses- can't stand seeing any team from Florida win. They looked real good though last night.... so did UCLA though too.

Who is everyone pulling for tonight?

I do not really care for either team. But I think I would rather see Florida win.

I entered a free (PLEASE NOTICE--FREE not Gambling!) bracket contest sponsored by a local AM station.

There are 500 or so entries. The top entry wins a $500 prize.

I am fifth. The four folks in front of me did not pick UCLA to win. I did.

    Guess who I'm rooting for?
