Marines find weapons

    "Washington D.C. - U.S. Marines from Regimental Combat Team 5 found hundreds of weapons recently during Operation Rubicon in Mushin, Iraq, west of Habbaniyah, U.S. officials reported.
    The Marines, assigned to 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment and 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, seized more than 500 mortar rounds, nearly 100 artillery rounds, more than 130 rocket-propelled grenades, an excess of 120 grenades, 22 mines, 10 mortar tubes, 20 rifles and machine guns, 18 sets of body armor and various other items including binoculars and bayonets."

    Iran, among others. Russia did and so did France, if I'm not forsaken. And didn't the US, also, at one time, back when Rumsfeld and Saddam were shaking hands?

    No WMD's, at least, not anything that comes close to fitting the description of those things that Bush spoke about. Most of what Reagan sold to Saddam back in the '80's went to his war with Iran, although I believe they did capture some of it during the first Gulf War.

    wmd's are wmd's are wmd's. They were found, Saddam denied having them and no amount of liberal spin can change that.

    we had a thread a few months ago about that being in the news. finding the wmd is old news now.

    Grenades, mines, and bayonettes are NOT WMD. Examples of WMD:

    * Nuclear Weapons
    * Biological Agents
    * Chemical Weapons

    Those would be what they found. You must have seen it , it was on tv, they had video.
