". . . And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?. . . ." -- Mark 14:12.

The date of this event on the Jewish calendar is the 14th.

". . . And ye shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month; and the whole congregation of the assembly of Israel shall kill it between the two evenings. . . ." -- Exodus 12:6, John Darby Translation, 1890.

". . . In the first [month], on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, . . ." -- Exodus 12:18.

In 30 A.D. this fell on April 5th. In 33 A.D. this fell on April 3rd.

It was the next day that Jesus was crucified.
