    Mike,
and for all the other superficially pious sounding Catholics who have been posting on this thread: did it ever occur to you that the first one to post a response to the initial post on this thread was a Catholic posting a slur against a Baptist?
Put your piousness back into your pocket where it belongs and quit acting like Pharasaical hypocrites.

Could it be that when I was in the Catholic church I was not saved? I was in the kingdom of darkness. I have witnessed other people get saved out of the RC, LDS, or JW so-called church. They have a love for the lost and desire to try to tell them to "flee the wrath to come." Hence the web-sites.

"Beware lest any man spoil [ruin] you
    through philosophy and vain deceit,
    after the tradition of men,
after the rudiments of the world,
    and not after Christ."
    (Colossians 2:8)

Heavenly Father, I renounce every form of idolatry. I repent for every way in which I have participated in idolatry. Only You are holy. Only You can save me. Only You are worthy of worship. Please remove all idolatry from my heart, my mind and my life. If I start to do anything idolatrous, please show me and give me the grace of heartfelt repentance. Please help me worship You with all of my heart, with all of my mind, with all of my strength, with all of my soul, and with all of my loyalty. Please teach me to worship You in spirit and in truth. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

The following are your posts Mike:

Do you have some kind of axe to grind? If so what? Do want someone to go through some of the various threads with a search engine and dig up all the vitriol that the Catholics have posted here: outright hatred, anti-semitism, blasphemy, and on and on. Quit with the hypocrisy Mike. John posted a very good post that you might consider well. In the mean time you would do well to shut off the hypocritical piousness and lies.

I agree Carson. You can say it. You have that soul liberty here on a Baptist Board.

</font>[/QUOTE]Yes, it is a real word, but unfortunately, I spelled it wrong.

    phar-i-sa-i-cal adj. pharisaic
Making an outward whow of religion or morality without the real spirit.
    2. thinking oneself more moral than others; hypocritical or self-righteous: "smug and pharisaic fools"

Charles, you know I have to pick on someone.

Yes, DHK, I really must shut off the hypocritical piousness and lies. I really must. I really, really must!

I must become more like you. ;)

(That's a wink. It means I'm just funnin' you, and that I'm not slurring you. Usually I don't have to explain such things, but I thought it best in this case.)

Psalms 4:2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing?

Is there a policy about repeatedly posting material of suspect veracity? I'm kinda new here, but I would have expected a Christian board to have relatively high standards for citations.

    Carson,

After spending an hour and a half with Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament this afternoon (and what a blessing that is), I hope you don't mind if I chime in, too:

    I love being Catholic!

No force on earth is capable of removing me from my love of Jesus Christ and the relationship He so lovingly shares with me, most especially in the Eucharist, when He so astoundingly and continually humbles Himself to be fully and substantially present to us until He comes again and our union is perfected in Heaven.

I will pray for Mary Ann Collins, because to have left the Church that is Christ's, she must honestly not know what she is missing (or worse, does, and rejects it anyway).

Heavenly Father, thank You for setting me free from every form of bondage to the Catholic Church. Please help me live according to the freedom which You have given me. Please help me grow into a strong, mature Christian. Please increase my faith in you, my trust in You, and my loyalty to You. Help me truly believe in Your goodness, Your faithfulness and Your mercy. Please help me understand how much You love me. Please help me respond with love, gratitude and faithfulness. I want my life to glorify You. I want to demonstrate Your love and Your character. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

All right, all kidding aside, let me say:

    I love being Catholic!

And I say that as a formerly rather anti-Catholic cradle Catholic.

As Chesterton says, "I am a citizen of Rome!"

The riches of the Catholic faith are such that we can only touch upon them in this lifetime. Lucky for us, we'll have more time later! And I hope and pray that this includes all our brothers and sisters here.
