    Good morning -

In our reading of 1Samuel yesterday, we saw Saul pursuing David in order to kill him. David eludes the king at each turn and the one instance in which Saul could have caught him is thwarted by the attack of the Philistines on Israel. If Saul had been in his homeland, the Philistines may have never attacked. Notice that one of the areas to which David retreats is Moab. Remeber, Moab was the homeland of his grandmother, Ruth.
David has also accumulated a following that has increased to 600 men. Already he has established a power seat.

In Mark Christ defines the two greatest Commandments. One is pertaining to the love of God, the other to the love of man.

Paul in Second Corinthians speaks of generous giving and reminds the believers in Corinth that it is because God first gave Christ that we give to God.

    May God bless you

    - Clint
