Mayor Resigns, Claims Abduction by Satanists

Back in the late '70 the pastor of Baptist church in Upstate NY (formerly the GM of WMHR radio in Syracuse) went missing. They found his car abandoned at a mall. In his office they found a partially completed message on the devil. At first it was assumed that Satanist had kidnapped him. A PI was hired and his findings disclosed that he had planned the disappearance himself. (for example he had sold some of his stock in WMHR, and had went out and bought brand new luggage and ect).

I forget his name at the minute, but will post it when I remember. If anybody has additional info, please refresh my memory.
