Me Church

That's a pretty goofy video, is it suppose to be a joke?

 

I think it's supose be about people who want the church to focus on them, be everything they want it to be, without any commitment to the church or the Christ of the church. A social club whose focus is me. Problem is, this church only has one member, me.
Sadly there are far too many people like this in churches, who desire to be the center of the church.

 

While many churches are compromising with the world in order to attract people (particularly the young crowd), I don't think any have gone quite that far--yet.

 

Jon Marc, you won't find a whole church like that, but you will find people like that in every church.

 

That`s the truth Donna. Many individuals are like that, "Church is OK if it doesn`t interfere with , TV, Games, Sport, etc." comes into it as well, when I`ve invited people to attend with us.:BangHead:

Sadly, I think it was some very truthful well done satire. I have to say that my family is truly blessed by God, and in the church we are members of I don't see any of that attitude. But I have seen it in churches that I have attended in the past.

 

A very sad commentary on the modern evangelical church. We need to get it through our thick skulls, it is not all about "me".

 

There were several other videos related to the "me" church that were pretty telling too. Is there a way to capture these videos to use in a church service as way of illustration?
