I would say something witty in return of your venom, but hey...I've been offended by countless people better than you.

Bye. Good job killing yet another thread.:wavey:

What venom? Salamanders carry no venom and don't even have teeth.

You only want to be offended, it's called bipolar disorder.

When you can't deal with sound reason you spew forth bile.

JoJ, keep up the good work! Some of us here might not see any good from this- and are quick to judge, but I trust God will work through your service and the people of Japan certainly will benefit.

It's sad this thread has to resort to personally attacking those that devote their time and energy into translating God's word into a lost peoples tongue. I would think the right thing to do would be to encourage and pray for those that are willing and able to serve in areas where we cannot.

    God bless!

    Amen and amen...
Those of us that love the Lord appreciate what you are doing...

I cannot understand Salamanders reasoning... you are translating from the TR!!
    Not the Nestle.

I would think this would please a KJVOist... but NOOOOOO...
You should thank God you are in Japan and don't have to put up with or fight this growing ignorance that is taking over so many good churches here....

Some are never satisfied... they have to always be right.
Their pride will not allow them to admit they are wrong.

Uhhh, don't be so sure of that Bro. Tim. The KJVO issue has poisioned every mission field that I am aware of, including Mexico.

How can the KJVO issue poison foreign fields?

Oh, boy, where do I start....

First of all it starts with ignorant (forgive me, but it is true) pastors who ask you if you use the KJV on your field. I am not kidding you.

Here in Mexico we have an excellent translation of the scriptures which is referred to as the Reina-Valera 1960 which was translated from the TR. However there are places where it 'disagrees' with the KJV, so the KJVO's are on the warpath about that and literally thousands if not millions of dollars of God's money has been WASTED by folks trying to translate from the KJV to Spanish. There is a new version out called the Gomez translation, which is a one man translation that is supposed to be the perfect Bible... I could go on but it is late.

If you are interested in reading more about how KJVO has affected Mexico here is a good web site- the author is strong KJV but he has more common sense than most- http://en.literaturabautista.com/node/12

I agree with this post 100%. One would think that translating from the traditional text body would please even the most conservative idealogue on the versions issue.

I am closing this thread. What should and could have been handled with intelligence and maturity has been turned into a series of attacks on a man of God doing a much needed work, and then other members attacking the attacker.

In the future, please simply report the attacker instead of responding with more attacks so that we can deal with the rules violations.
