Dude, (dude now = Carpro now that the name of this thread has been changed)

You and I have been rivals on this board during the "Bush years" and I'm pretty sure we enjoyed it. Know I did anyways.

No hard feelings on my part. Hope it's the same for you.

Right now I'm thinking all that rivalry could change if Obama or Clinton is...I can't bring myself to say "elected president of the USA" so I'll stick with installed as CEO of Govcorp Inc. Not that McCain is any different.

In that case we'll probably end up agreeing with each other more often than not...so don't be surprised. Alrighty? Now I'm always going to be against military adventurism and meddling in others affairs. But when it comes to these so called progressives and their collectivist garbage they're always trying to saddle us with I'm right there with ya brother.

Just wanted to let ya know ahead of time.

P.S. This message is for all those "righties" I've been arguing with over this past republicrat administration also.

I feel bad for some of the things I have said to carpro.

I feel the leftwards trend, along with it's PC baggage, is a much bigger enemy that Islam, right now. It looks like several of us will enjoy new allies in the next 4 years.

Hey poncho, say it with me......."President Hillary Clinton"....you know it's going to happen. It won't be so bad, it'll give a chance for a true leader to emerge.

I don't think America will thrive with any of the top 3 as POTUS, especially with Congress' continued inability to do anything but drive the bus off the road.

Speaking of Congress, I believe this year's election is critical for both parties in Congress. This year may answer the question to whether or not '06 was a protest against Bush or a shift towards the Dems.

So, do you think an Obama presidency would do more damage than the Bush administration has done?

I feel pretty bad about alot of things I've said to people in the past. I'm sure we all do. And yeah I do think we'll be forming new alliances now. No secret I was and still am an avid "Bush Basher". Before that I was a Clinton basher.

I don't hold to party lines, I don't lean this way or that. I stand up against corruption and tyranny. I don't give a hoot nor holler from which direction it comes. If it violates the twelve American principles that we as a nation held near and dear for so long and the constitution. It's wrong and needs to be addressed. Period. Just as there are no exceptions clauses in the constitution there are none in my own personal ideology.

I see it like this...if the state is reaching for power it is neither entitled to by law (constitution) or deserves to have I stand up to it. Too many of us get caught in the leftie vs rightie trap. We start thinking like democrats or republicans, we start making excuses for "our teams" misbehavior and criminal activity. We blame the other side for all our ills and on and on.

I see it as individualism vs collectivism. And when looked at in that way it's alot easier to see that both lefties and righties are infected with the desease of collectivism. This perverted way of thinking is what causes hatred and division among us. This country was built on faith in the individual not the group.

You heart that progressives? This country was built without your perverted group think ideology and we got along just fine before you started puking this garbage on us. I'm no friend or apologist to the righties either so don't get all bent out shape. They are just as guilty of spewing this garabge on us as you are. More so because they know better.

I think this country and we individuals would get along alot better and see alot clearer if we kept all our debates (and thoughts) in the context of individualism vs collectivism. We should imho be fighting corruption and tyranny together as Americans and not lefties and righties. You know what they say about a house divided.

    But what do I know?
