I just showed you the content of the top 25 country songs on the air waves and you pulled the equivalent of putting your fingers in your ears and yelling "I cant' hear you". So, what's the point of trying.

That list does not prove that it is "way more".

I think different genres can reflect certain mindsets of people in some way. Not because it's inherent in the music, but more because the people who grew up in a certain mindset happen to like that music. And it changes over the decades as people change, too.
Any music style can be set to good or bad lyrics. There's good rock and bad rock, good country and bad country. The difference is the lyrics and the message being presented.

You're allowing yourself to be trolled by the biggest troll on BB. He hopes you'll do this 'all night long' so he can pull out his Lionel Richie collection and sing along.

That said, and, being a Metallica fan to some degree, I wouldn't let them off the hook for accusations.

Specifically? Have you listened to their tune 'So What'? Yep, you'd have to go beyond their 10 most popular songs. 'Am I Evil?' should also raise some eyebrows, that is, unless you want to bring in private interpretation and justify it.

Other songs may also raise eyebrows -- 'Leper Messiah'; 'The God Who Failed'; 'The Judas Kiss'.

Spare me justification of these songs as there is no need.

No, no Metallica is not immune as you wish them to be. That said, putting mitchell on ignore would serve you well on BB.

This song by Lady Antebellum is getting a lot of airplay nowadays. It's about a woman trying to forget her ex-boyfriend.

    What I'm really needing now
Is a double shot of Crown
    Chase that disco ball around
    'Til I don't remember
Go until they cut me off
    Wanna get a little lost
In the noise, in the lights

Hey bartender pour 'em hot tonight
'Til the party and music and the truth collide
Bring it 'til his memory fades away
    Hey bartender

I'm feeling that buzz I'm ready to rock
Ain't no way I'm gonna tell you to stop
So pour that thing up to the top
    I'm coming in hot

There was a time when I could stomach Metallica, especially since I heard "Creeping Death" first, and well knew the Biblical account.

I have always despised Country, with its utter despair.

I quit listening to Metallica, when they became a Country band, in the mid 90's.

At least Metallica produced well-made music, like their style or not.

I have yet to hear Country that is anything clode to that caliber of music.

    Just my opinion.

    Their covers were the worst:
    Green Hell
    One Last Caress
    Am I Evil
    Etc.
