Why certainly they do, all three issues, right as they are running for President, after not needing the people of Massachussetts for personal political gain any more. Happens all the time. Steady as she goes, full speed ahead I always say.

It does not take a lot of insight to spot a slick politician, even more so than the rest.

Many do in running for office; political office, or deacon or elder, as I've seen.

My question still hasnt been answered. I know that Romney doesnt have to give this speech. But he is. The question:

Who? is putting pressure on Romney to explain his faith. I, as an independent Baptist, and I would assume I speak for a few more, dont expect him to explain anything.

More likely the press is applying the pressure. For once they are doing the job they should do. If only they would put the hot coals to the Democrats, the Clintons in particular.

As an independent Baptist, and I assume to speak for no one but myself, do expect him to explain everything. It's not like the govt is applying the pressure and that he will be banished. I want to be informed when it comes to whom I vote to put into such a powerful office. Informed of the candidates life, religion and political stances. Life forms a man, religion effects his judgment and judgment forms his stances. If he claims a religion, as Mr Clinton claimed to be a Baptist, but his stances are not that of his claimed faith then we must look at his life to find his character. If Mr Clinton's life had been brought to the fore by the main stream press there would have been a lot less folks voting for him.
Mr Romney needs to stand unabashedly on his faith. If he doesn't he does not have the courage to stand on anything and will fall for anything. I for one do not want that type of leader.

Personally, I'm just curious. Nothing more, nothing less. I think the vast majority of people are also.

He says he is a Mormon, we all know what a Mormon believes what more do you want to know? I dont hear the same questions being asked of any other candidate. Like Ron Paul for example. At least I know what Romney believes. How? because he says he is a Mormon and I know what Mormons believe.

What about Ron Paul? What does he believe? I dont know. Does he believe in the Rapture? Were Adam and Eve real people? Creation or evolution? Is he going to be asked about his religion? What church is he a member of?

What about Kucinich? Is he an atheist? I just dont know why Romney thinks he has to explain and no one else. For every quirky doctrine the liberal media can find out about Romney's faith, they will be able to make a fool out of Huckabee. And they will. As someone in a post above has already said, it is the liberal media behind all of this and they are coming after your candidate too.

I too would like to hear what Paul thinks about religion. (Though I'd support him regardless.)

ETA: Just checked Wikipedia and Paul's a Baptist. His brother, David Paul, is a pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Michigan with a few words here.

Ok, so Ron Paul is a Baptist. Why is Huckabee getting all the questions about the Bible and not him? I have heard Huckabee asked questions about creation and evolution, Adam and Eve etc. Hillary Clinton is supposed to be a Methodist. What does she think about John Wesley saying that the popes are in hell?

I think Huckabee is a Baptist as well. Not sure though.
