Both sides agree that we saved saved by the person and work of Jesus , the basis on how we get into Him is the dividing line

Again, you're confounding the end/purpose of the election with the basis/criterion of the election.

We were elected and regenerated before saving faith in Christ, but those holding to other view have those 2 happen after faith!

And it's not in one sense, because you were chosen before Christ accomplished the atonement. But the two go hand in hand. You believe because you were chosen. Therefore, all who are chosen will believe. In THAT sense, we are chosen in Christ because all who are chosen will believe in Christ without exception. So you are getting hung up over nothing. You say there is a glaring contradiction but there isn't.

What about the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction. On what basis were they prepared for destruction? If they were prepared, that means from creation. You don't prepare a vessel after it has already been made. It's made for a purpose.

On what basis are any saved, is it not due to Jesus death and resurrection? We are just discussing the method chosen by God to get us into Christ!

The main difference is one sees salvation based upon will and purpose of God, others on the will of man!

I am not arguing either way. I am saying you hit the nail on the head. Calvinistic salvation itself is centered on the Father while Arminians center salvation on Christ.

I hope it can be a good conversation because I enjoy a good show.

The Arminians center salvation on a false premise though.

It is interesting to examine the opinions.

Does God give an answer to your question?
I don't believe He does. I also don't believe He has to. God simply elects according to the counsel of His will. Moreso, I don't care what God's basis is in election. I simply care to believe what God actually tells us. What He tells us is that He chooses, he elects and he predestines. I believe it. Do you?

This is key. God does not give us the answer to the question and, as you said, He doesn't have to. How dare we think he must give us that information. Who are we?
