More money = more biblical knowledge?

    My question was concerning the "above" average laymen.

    So if such an exception exists and such a person can equip himself and train to become as smart and smarter than seminarians, then the end result is that a boy fresh out of seminary is no better off than the above-average laymen who has done the same through self study and devotion.

    I don't recall Amy saying a seminary degree is a waste of thousands of dollars and agonizing hours of stress and pain. Please supply the post or retract this and apologize to Amy since you are big on apologies.

    There are definite advantages to a good seminary education. There are extraordinary individuals who were self-taught, but those are the exceptions, not the rule.
