I understand what you are saying, BUT the good behavior they display is a result of false doctrine.</font>[/QUOTE]I have to agree with John on this one. This is the example we see from Paul at Mars Hill.

    Hi Kelly,

You wrote, "My best girl friend in high school was LDS, and she had to have been from one of the most messed up families I have ever been around."

On the whole, LDS families are generally more loving and stronger than families of other religions. The quality of family life is a central concern for adherents to the LDS church.

I think you have me confused with someone else. I don't believe in salvation by works nor have I ever said anything to indicate that I believe in salvation by works.

Would you explain what you meant when you said you agree with John?

John said that we should correct faulty doctrine but we should also applaud good behavior. Chrift disagreed, saying that the source of their good behavior was from a false source.

I merely said that I agreed with John that we should correct faulty doctrine but that we should applaud good behavior and pointed to Paul's example of appealing to the pagans' interest in spiritual things as a way of building a bridge to them to share the Gospel.

I see. My misunderstanding is based on our differing interpretations of Paul's message at Mars Hill.
