    Chris Matthews, breathless in Philadelphia at Clinton's return to politics, said that Clinton's return was like Lazarus coming out of the tomb.

    I wonder why liberals have to employ Scripture to describe their political events? It happens all the time in American public life.

    It was really quite inappropriate and quite foolish. Mr. Clinton looked more like Don Juan returning from a winter in Italy.

    The New York Times newspaper front-page picture of Kerry and Clinton in Philadelphia showed Clinton as looking pale and tired while Kerry looked orange and wrinkled as if he had missed his botox injections again.

    Come on, liberals, find some fresh images for your politics.

    Can you imagine the outcry if Bush quoted scripture ? Oh wait, we don't have to. Kerry misquotes scripture all the time, he talks of his catholic upbringing, says Bush has faith but no works...

    Bush prays and people cry about theocracy.

    Bro. Curtis, comparing Clinton to Lazarus is pretty sick. Kerry talks about works and doing unto the least, but he does not consider the unborn the least. Do you think that Kerry has been preaching the 1930s Great Depression gospel of social justice?

    I remember when Bush revised the words of "Power in the Blood". But I forget what he substituted for the "Precious Blood of the Lamb"...anyone recall?

    It was in his State of the Union address when he changed a hymn's lyric from "There is power, power, wonder-working power in the blood of the lamb" to "There's power, wonder-working power, in the goodness and idealism and faith of the American people,"

    This reminds me of the spam that is going around the Internet that says that Kerry announced that his favorite Bible verse is John 16:3. I also recieved the same spam that said that Bush announced that his favorite Bible verse is John 16:3. In 1999 I got a spam that said that Gore said his favorite Bible verse is John 16:3.

    Of course none of these spams are true, according to conservative columnist Cal Thomas, there was one politician who did make this mistake, it was George W. Bush's father, President George H.W. Bush.

    Bush well into the Chris Matthews syndrome on that one.

    Bill Clinton did not rise from the dead but is more like Casanova coming out of the Playboy Mansion to do some politics.
