Wow, that's unreal. A public declaration of child sacrifice. What next? Wait, I probably don't want to know :(

I'd sure like to see the list when it's published. I'm just wondering who would stand up and say, "I murdered my baby!" That's sad.

I guess they are just lucky their mothers didn't decide the procedure was necessary and important when they were carrying them

Common? Sadly, yes. Necessary? Important? :tear: It's important to murder babies? What an awful statement. God help us.

You don't have to go to MS. Magazine to see support for abortion.

Just trot over to the politics forum and read posts on the thread on "When Does Life Begin?" and you'll see Christians on the BB who do not think that life in the womb is really life. Also, some Christians okay with abortion posted on the now closed thread on stem cell research.

I was just over there, and was disgusted at what I was reading. I can't believe what I was reading coming form Believers.

    Potiential, but not yet life?
Future life, but not right now?

IMO, that's just ridiculous. But, I guess I'm just not as "enlightened" as these scholars...

SBC Preacher, I had the same reaction.

In fact, I can understand this position from MS. Magazine and from unbelievers better than I can coming from the believers.

Before I was saved I was radically pro-choice since I did not believe that unborn babies necessarily had a person in them yet (I believed in reincarnation and that the "soul" entered the unborn child's body at some point, probably shortly before birth or at birth). Also, due to my belief in reincarnation, I believed that if an abortion did result in a death of a unborn baby, then that had probably been a mistake (i.e., the soul had gone into the wrong body) and that person would just be reincarnated into the right body.

I was also a feminist and thought women should make the decision about abortion, and I thought Christians were stuffy, sanctimonious narrow-minded moralists.

I have an amazing story of how God saved my son from abortion. I actually had an appointment at the clinic to abort him, but God intervened. :applause:

It's a "procedure" ?? It's murder. And I agree, the thread at the politics board is disgusting.

Maybe you've already done it, Marcia ~~ IDK~~ if not, you have a story to tell to the nations. Maybe lots of hearts will be turned to the Light of the world, Jesus.

And we complain because the 10 million illegals have come into take jobs that should have gone to americans. Instead we just killed off 50 million.

    50 million.

And people do not fear the wrath of God . . . His wrath will come soon.

This is a blight on our nation. That it's become so common place that people are willing to stand up and be counted -- there are no words for my grief.

I did not tell anyone this story except a few close friends until my son was older and found out from his dad that his dad and I were not married when he was accidentally conceived.

I was not a Christian at the time. I took a pregnancy test at a feminist women's health clinic and when I discovered I was pregnant, I immediately made an appointment for an abortion to be done a few days later. I went home and told my son's dad about it and he promised to go with me to the clinic on abortion day.

That night or the next night (can't recall), my son's dad (who later became my husband and is now my ex-husband) felt restless and got up to meditate in front of the fireplace. This was New Age/eastern meditation stuff. He later came back to bed and woke me up. He said that while he was meditating, he heard a voice or got a distinct impression that said, "Have the child." He told me he thought we should keep the baby and not do the abortion.

This went against everything normal for us - we were not married, we did not have any money, we were sharing a house with 2 other people and did not even a place to raise a child, and we had never even discussed marriage. But something in me was relieved and I went along with it. This happened almost 10 yrs. before I was saved.

I am convinced that the Lord intervened during that meditation and saved my son from being killed by abortion. I told my son about this about 5 yrs. ago and how it shows how much God wanted him to live. :love2:

The sad truth about abortion is that our nation accepts it because there remains confusion about it in our churches. Many Christians are defending the indefensible. I believe that America will not reject abortion until America sees abortion. I advocate the use of graphic pictures and video that reveal the nature of the violence and depict the humanity of the child. So long as we keep focusing on the plight of the poor mother who "is suffering" because she is pregnant we forget that inside her womb is a human being. Show the pictures... anyone with a functioning conscience will categorically reject all abortion for any reason. Two wrongs never make a right.

When we have believers with this ungodly world view, it's no surprise that the world sees nothing wrong with murdering children, and how can we possibly ever convince them it is murder as long as we have believers telling them it is ok to murder children.

Justification has apparently become easy. Christians justify mudering unborn babies and murdering 5 children in a bath tub. Now they want to say " we dont justify it, but she is insane" .

Excuses, excuses, the murder of unborn children are justified because they are not legaly considered life by the courts. As I have said Hitler had Jews declared not human so he could enslave ans slaughter them, our SupremeCourt in America had African slaves declared legaly not human so they could enslave them, and now we declare unborn children not human so we cam slaughter them.

Yates was declared insane so she wouldnt have to answer for the slaughter of her children. Even murder can be excused in America! That is evil straight from the pit of Hell.

Seeing pictures and video of that didn't change my position on abortion, it only made it stronger. In 1990, the church I attended showed pictures and video of dead, aborted children one Sunday night and 16 years later, I've never forgotten those horrible images.

I agree with you. I took my seeing something about partial birtha bortion and another abortion film, which may have been titled Screaming to change my view. I have a friend who doesn't belive in abortion and God used her to open my eyes as well.
