Thanks, Friend. That's what we strive for, although songs are not chosen based on their age or aesthetic value... we pick a theme in line with the pastor's sermon and try to stay focused there thematically. Thanks for the encouragement.

OK - How bad am I? I JUST did the worship package for the projector (we use SundayPlus/Prologue) and I don't remember what songs they are! LOL!! I'm so lame.

BUT... DH is doing worship next week and his package is:

    Glorious (Tomlin)
Did You Feel the Mountains Tremble (Smith)
    Center (Hall/Redman)
    Here Is Our King (Crowder)
Lord, I Give You My Heart (Reuben Morgan)

How do you all remember the songs???

We probably sing 10 or 15 songs on Sunday mornings, and I couldn't tell you but a couple that we sang by the time I get home, let alone into the week. That is, unless I'm the one who selects a song or two, then I usually remember what it was.

Maybe I should write down the songs that are selected tomorrow so I can post them here then.

I think it's because they have a written "Order of Worship" or whatever they call it in their denominations, and the songs are printed on there, Brother Reed.

I used to do that before in the other order of Baptist.

Or, they are the musicians... It's like asking the preacher what the sermon was.

I totally cheated - DH sent me an e-mail with his song package since I'm the person who loads the computer to show the words on the screen. Even with ME doing the songs, putting together appropriate background, making sure it looks good with the background and that it's readable, I STILL couldn't tell you what songs we're doing that week. LOL!!

The ONLY song I know we're doing today is the Doxology - because I loaded it last week and we ended up doing a different song. I saw that we're doing it again this week and laughed wondering if we're going to change it again. :D So, that song had a bit more info behind it for me. Otherwise, I have NO clue each week even right after setting them up.

HA! I'm at church right now so I can tell you what songs we did Sunday! LOL!! I have to say, I don't love all of these songs......

Sing (Lindsey, Houghton) (I don't like this song - part of it are unsingable to me)
    Ancient of Days (Sadler, Harvill)
In Christ Alone (LOVE this song, hate this arrangement)(combination of both the Townend\Getty version and the Craig\Koch version)
    The Doxology
    Because We Believe (Harvill, Gordon)
How Firm a Foundation (the hymn)

Well, once again, I did the Prologue with this week's worship and I can't remember all the songs we're doing!!

However, DH just sent me the list for next week when he does worship, so I can list those:

    Glorious
    Here Is Our King
    We Fall Down

    Be Lifted Up

    End:
Bring Me to the Place (DH wrote this)

I thought it was funny to do We Fall Down and go into Be Lifted Up but there is the pastoral prayer, welcome and announcements so I don't think anyone will notice. LOL!
