My apology to all.

I, for one, shall certainly forgive you, and ask YOU to forgive ME for my somewhat-virulent reaction to some of your posts. Perhaps I shoulda PRAYED before I clicked 'send'.

My view of KJVO will not change, and perhaps YOUR view won't change either, but perhaps we can discuss the subject in a more gentlemanly manner?

 

Bro. Miller, why don't you share something about yourself and your work for the Lord? It would be nice to 'get to know you'.

I forgive you and I do appeciate your efforts to correct this issue. As Christians we should always be able to forgive each other. After all we are all human and we all sin. No hard feelings on my end.

I'm hoping that in the future we can discuss things in detail.

As a former KJVOist myself, I am always interested in talking with people about KJVO issues etc... Feel free to email me and discuss what you like. I may not be able to reply the same day but I will a.s.a.p.

I agree with Diane, I would like to hear more about you also.

I understand your apology, and I think it is very courageous of you to do. However, I tell you this sincerely and out of love for you, you did nothing wrong. If speaking the truth is wrong, then let me be wrong every time. I do not know what you said specifically to the snipped portions of your post, but I have been warned myself for calling the modern versions what they truly are, and was told I "must" accept all versions as God's words. So, I feel for you brother, but don't give up, and don't let anyone make you feel bad for sharing the truth. If the Lord has convicted you of this truth, don't be ashamed of it, and you most definately do not need to apologize for it.

May the Lord richly bless you in all you do in service to him.

I have just recently realized the thread to which this apology is addressed, and I was unaware of it in my first post. I was thinking this was referring to an altogether different thread. My apologies. You did the right thing to apologize for remarks that you have made, although they made me LOL, and even though you may have been provoked to it by false accusations, it of course is not right. Thank you brother for being a good christian man and apologizing for your error and fault against fellow brothers/sisters in Christ. This shows you are a very humble and sincere brother.

My above post was concerning the NIV thread, to which I still offer to you. Don't ever be ashamed of sharing the truth with others. There are nicer ways of handling this, which comes with time and experience, and most importantly, with a daily reliance upon the Lord in all matters. Of course we sometimes can fail, but don't let this discourage you, but build you up and make you rely more upon the Lord, which he will give you courage, strength and patience. Do all things to glorify the Lord, and you can't go wrong.

Thank you for your spirit in making the apology and setting things right. I agree, would you consider popping up to the welcome forum and telling us about yourself?

 

We live and learn, brother. But no matter what, we must obey the rules.

We all step out of line on ocassion, and must be "gently" nudged back into a more congenial mode of communicating.

Don't abandon the debate. The heat of passion can be strong, but there are many creative ways to say what you feel in the English language .
