Do you remember my thread in this forum, titled: Computer doesn't shut off,
    at this location?

Brother Clint, you were right in predicting that I was heading toward a crash. Bro. Don, thanks for all the good advise, I tried many but did not have the time and energy to play it out to it's conclusion. As a result I shut off my computer every night by pulling the plug.

Well, it happened this morning. The computer wouldn't turn on, it froze. Not only that, when I was able to have it opened, it operated with an old program. In the MOE for example, I had some of the old email accounts (not the current). Needless to say that was not able to send or receive any. I am no computer expert, but I started to re-enter some of the current information and take out the old. I also downloaded MSIE 6.6 to be able to access the Internet, for I constantly got this error messages and security protocols. To make the story short, after all these corrections, instead of restarting the computer I accidentally clicked on "Shut down." I was waiting for the freezing up, but instead it closed just like a clockwork. Tried it time and again, to make it sure, and it shut down just fine.

At that time I deleted the Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 SP1 program, to see if that did it, and sure enough the computer froze. I downloaded the program again, and the computer shut down just fine. So, whatever was missing, the computer found it in this download. Now I am back in business - thanks to the many sound advise I received here on this forum! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Of course, I have wanted to offer mine for sacrifice more than once.
