    My wife(almost 10 years) said that she wants out of our marriage because she isn't as "happy" as she thinks she could be and doesn't love me the way she did before we had kids. We have 2 little boys 7 & 9 who will be greatly effected as well. I don't want to lose my marriage but feel powerless to stop it. If you could, please pray that God will somehow touch her heart. She says God is telling her to leave the marriage and even though it is a sin-he will forgive her. I just can't comprehend her even considering this as an option both religiously and personally.

    That's not God whispering in her ear. God hates divorce, period. while he will forgive her, she is knowingly committing the sin of it... and that's putting her in dangerous waters, spiritually speaking.

    I will and am praying for you, brother... praying hard. See if she will consider seeing a Christian marriage counselor, as I doubt whe will talk to a pastor. If she will talk to a pastor, find one who has been taught how to be a counselor... too many "counsel" and do more damage than good.

    I give you my prayers and offer you some scriptures.

    Besides attempting to get Christian couseling also consider as the spiritual head that God might touch her heart through his Word which you provide; you might show her the truth that God doesn’t tell people to sin.

    James 1:13-17
    (13) Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
    (14) But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
    (15) Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
    (16) Do not err, my beloved brethren.
    (17) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

    Love is not a feeling that involves the desires of one’s self; it is seen in action that involves grace toward others. God’s grace shows us the depth of His love in that he died for us even though we didn’t deserve it.

    John 15:12
    (12) This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

    Love is never selfish and about the “me” (she’s not happy or could be happier) love is seen in giving of yourself to others. She was not told by God to think of herself, her own happiness, and give up on the one commitment that we make on this Earth before Him any more than Jesus’ love would forsake His promises to His bride. That whisper would be the Devil lying in her ear; to say it is of God is to bare false witness to the true meaning of God’s love which never fails.

    1 Corinthians 13:4-8
    (4) Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
    (5) Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
    (6) Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
    (7) Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
    (8) Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
