I've dragged and clicked to no avail. It is double the size it normally is. All my normal icons are bunched up into the right hand corner. And all my desktop icons are down there in the middle now. I did something to cause it, but don't know what I did! HELP!!!

LadyEagle, did you try putting your cursor on it til the up and down arrow appears and the pushing downward?

If that doesn't work, find a blank spot on your task bar and right click. You can do some adjustments there.

You might also need to put it on a special diet. [IMG]

You should be able to just move your icons by dragging, the task bar should also move by clicking it. Without stating the obvious have you tried restarting your P.C?

Tried all of the above (except the diet) - nothing works. :(

You could do a system restore back to the day before the task bar swelled up.

I'm wondering if your resolution on your monitor changed. If your icons moved around and your taskbar is bigger than normal, perhaps your resolution changed.

To change the resolution do this:
On your desktop, right click and choose properties
    Pick the "Settings" Tab
There will be a slider bar there which you can change your resolution.

Moving it to the right will make Icons, Font and taksbar smaller and increase the size your windows can be

Moving to to the left has the opposite effect.

Nate, tried it, that's not it. Thanks.

    It's Windows XP.

Okay, I'm back! Problem solved. Somehow, I had unknowingly checked show the desktop and all those icons were down there which made it fat!

When I unchecked it, all went back to normal.

Somehow I never got around to reading a book about how to work a computer, LOL.

I've had some strange things happen after a Window's update and had to go and undo some things they'd done for me.

Glad you figured it out, LadyEagle!
