Been absent from here for the past several days. You may have seen Leakesville, MS on the news. It was DESTROYED by an F3 tornado.

My family and church are all OK but this town has NEVER in its history been devastated like this.

Pray for the ministers here as we try to help the citizens and glorify God through this.

I do not know HOW one can minister in times like these if he believes that God has no purpose for MOST of what happens in this world.

    Thanks for your prayers.

    Here is some video.

The power of these storms is just incredible and knowing that so many lives are forever altered is humbling. My prayers are definitely with you and all of those who have been touched by this disaster.

On my prayer list as well.

There was a town in NC that never had a hurricane before and was devastated this time around.

Winds have been very powerful this April and humanly speaking, very frightening.

God bless you and keep your eyes on Him.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Lord, give these folks strength in their hands to do the work they have to do, and the strenght in their hearts to persevere in it. Help us to repent of our sins, and help us to understand your purpose in all of this. Amen.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ. Now if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective for enduring the same sufferings which we also suffer. Or if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so also you will partake of the consolation. (II Cor 1:3-7)

I'm glad to hear you and your family are safe, praise God!

Praying that God can use you during this event to minister and proclaim the Good News when there doesn't seem to be hope for any.
