    "Between 1967 and the Supreme Court's 1973 decisions in Roe and Doe, approximately one-third of the states had adopted, either in whole or in part, the Model Penal Code's provisions allowing abortions in instances other than where only the mother's life was in danger."

    It is quite obvious you have not read other posts I have made on the subject of abortion. I am against the murder of a baby.

    It is also obvious you are not up to speed on what happens with an ectopic pregnancy.

    Would I abort a deformed child? No.

    Would I abort a child in a "risky" pregnancy? No.

    Like I said. You're free to choose this, if you wish. But yes, you would do two funerals. There will be a death in an ectopic pregnancy. It's just a matter of how many.

    Disclaimer: God is capable of doing anything. And if God tells you to go forward, do it. My sincere prayer would be that He would work an absolute miracle, and that mom and baby would be fine.

    My point is this: Murder is not the issue here, because in this case one is forced to decide a terrible, horrible decision: Do I end one life now, or watch two lives end in a few weeks?

    And dear friends of our family's went through this exact scenario about a decade ago. It was one of the most difficult ordeals I've ever watched any friend of mine endure. So this is not an argument of vague hypotheticals.

    Question my belief in God all you wish. I don't question yours.

    My wife gave birth to our first daughter in 1979. We were informed shortly before her birth that there were problems with the pregnancy which meant that there were problems with our child, too. We were given the choice of abortion by my wife's Dr. and we were against even considering it. I knew that God would take care of us whatever the situation turned out to be with our child and we placed our faith in Him. Our daughter was born with multiple birth defects, and although she only lived forty days we cherished the time we had with her and look forward to seeing her again in Heaven. She is safe now at home with the Lord, therefore we do not have to worry about her, nor her younger sister that passed right before birth. Now the middle daughter, that's a whole other story. :rolleyes:

    To answer the OP, here is a report my son had to write for civics class this yr...
    http://www.facebook.com/note.php?saved&&suggest&note_id=383026032546

    He basically shows through science that there is life in the womb.
    then proves it is human life...
    Then invokes the 14th amendment that says..."no state shall deprive any person of life . . . without due process of law."

    Then ends with..
