Longhorns beat OU already. Should be cheering for my OU 62-26 - makes Texas look real good, I was cheering Texas when Texas beat their SECOND OSU (Ohio State this time, Oklahoma State before). I've got more BIG-12 hats than OU hats. I get the pre-bowl OU shirts cheap after they loose the game ;)

I'm soliciting support of the University of Oklahoma (OU) Football Team in the BCS College National (US) Champs versus the Florida Gaters.

The main campus of OU is located South of the North Canadian River and just four miles North of the South Canadian River. Yes, Oklahoma has not one Canadian River but two. In fact, Oklahoma has two more Canadian Rivers than Canada has, for Canada has no Canadian River

    Ed Predicts:
    OU #1
    Texas #2
    Florida #4

Is there any doubt that the Big 12 is seriously defensively challenged when a team like Texas is held to 24 by an inferior Ohio State team?

As good as Oklahoma is on offense, they just haven't played the kind of defensive team that Florida is. As much as I don't want to see gator chomp posts around here on Friday, I think Florida wins this game something like 27-20.

Are you saying that Florida's offense is not capable of putting up more points than that? Against the Oklahoma defense? Gators 45 Okies 20.

Now I hear that the Gators #1 player is looking pretty good but not 100% for the game. I still think the Gators will beat them by 10pts at least.

    Gators by 10 ---

    Gators will score 40+
Sooners will score less than 30 against a real defense and a team with SPEED

I'm hoping it will be close enough to watch. And I have friends who are going to the game, and I don't them to waste their $$.

    Here are the final standings:
    1. Florida
    2. USC
    3. Utah
    4. Texas
    5. OK

No that's Gator Bait! OU had me worried until that interception in the 4th quarter.

Well, I hate that Bama lost twice, but if they had to at least it was to the #1 and #2 teams.

Gratz to UF on a great season.

And I somewhat underestimated OU's defense.

I got the 10 points right (wow -- don't I wish I was a betting man??), but I also underestimated the Okie defense.

For whatever reason, the Gators always tried to run the ball up the middle? Did you notice that? I thought they should have gone outside more to use their advantage in speed.

Question to Heisman voters... Now who would you vote for?

As one of my points mentioned earlier this week, when the Heisman winner is in the national title game, he seldom wins. Leinart in '04 is the only recent one I can think of. Other than that, now Bradford in '08, Smith in '06, Bush in '05, White in '03, Crouch in '01, Weinke in 2000... all lost that game. And the distractions likely have something to do with it.
