True, they could tear one of the buildings down a lot cheaper than that...

 

Oone correction... it is in California, not Colorado. Although it is surely a coincidence, but you'd think the design would have been noticed on the original blueprints. Probably they were built over time.

 

It has been this shape for about 60 years now. They are barracks and people live and work in this building.

 

The article states that groundbreaking for the complex was in 1967. The "issue" was noticed by officials during construction, but it was decided to let it be since it was only noticeable from the air.

Upon looking at the photos, my idea was to bring each outer building to the center point of each axis building, with an equal amount of the outer buidling on either side. Unfortunately, I realized that my new design would look somewhat like the Iron Cross, so that probably wouldn't fly either.:tonofbricks:

What a waste of taxpayer money! If it looked like a pentagram, who cares! It's just a building, and the average person is not hovering a mile over it looking at it in the first place.

 

Leave it alone or add to it, seems fair to me.

Typo...I meant 40 years.

The symbol has been used for thousands of years. It wasnt until the Nazi's got ahold of it and 'bastardized' it to make it 'evil'.

Whomever made a stink over this likely sees Elvis in their mashed potatoes.
