No doubt he was the best interviewer of the Sunday morning bunch. He asked the tough questions and was relentless about getting answers. He will be missed.

He resurrected MTP. While partisan (he was a former aide to Monihayn), he never let it get through terribly. He was as tough on Dems as he was on Republicans. He refused to go over the top (Like Matthews, Olbermann, et.al.) and was a serious news man (unlike Limbaugh, O'Reilley, et.al.).

The thing I liked about him the most? He was an avid and unapologetic sports fan. He rooted for his Bills and Sabres on the air, and did it with a smile.

His voice of reason and reassurance amid a seascape of warbling heads has been silenced. I selfishly pray he has tutors that will flood the airwaves and get the media back to respectability. And I pray most of all, as I do for all who die, that he knew Christ genuinely.

    Sad, sad news

My second to TomVols comment that he was tough on both Dems and Republicans--the way it ought to be. I had a lot of respect for him. Plus, he was just a decent guy who well remembered his roots and loved his family and country. Will miss him greatly.
