NCAA field to 96 teams?

    I've read several stories (like the one above) lately that make expansion a certainty as the CBS contract with the NCAA ends this year, and the NCAA will shop its tourney with expansion to new suitors.

    I know we've discussed this before, but should the money dictate whether this occurs or not? Do you believe it's going to happen if ESPN ponies up enough money? What do you think from the business side of things?

    If you want to talk yea/nay on the idea re: the set up and structure, and whether its the best move for the on-the-court side of things, fine. But I'm intrigued more than ever about how the money may make this happen, and how that will be the only way we'll see a playoff of any kind in NCAA football

    It's Great...

    .... it means more games to watch and enjoy, and it should bring me right up to baseball season without any gaps in programming.

    What's wrong with a little more competition? It's what sports is all about the almighty dollar is behind the change, [or, is it Obama? He did promise us change, we could believe in!].:laugh:
