I've used this Bible for several years, and highly recommend it(it used to be called the Nelson Study Bible).

The footnotes are great, and the word studies are keyed to Strong's

Enjoyed the Nelson NIV Study Bible (great notes, maps, etc). If with the NKJV - a much better translation - then I would think it is high quality.

Thank you. Iwanted to make sure it did not have a charismatic or Pentencostal slant to the notes.

I use this Bible for study. I think it may be one of the best study Bible's out there.

I just want to clear up a bit of confusion here. There are a number of study bibles that share the same names, but have different publishers and different content. They are:

    1. Nelson NKJV Study Bible - now referred to by Nelson as the NKJV Study Bible.

    2. Nelson KJV Study Bible - completely different from the NKJV Study Bible - different notes and different text layout.

    3. Zondervan NIV Study Bible - also published in the KJV and the NASB. Note: it has never been published in the NKJV. The Zondervan KJV Study Bible, at least when writing about it, is often confused with the Nelson KJV Study Bible.

To my knowledge, Nelson has never published any bible using the NIV.

Clear as mud? I hope not. ;)

I picked up a copy of the Nelson NKJV study Bible and I must say the more I use it the better I like it. This is a quality Bible that I would now recommend for anyone looking for a good study Bible.
