President Bush named Tony Snow to be his next White House press secretary today, in the latest round of staff changes in the West Wing.

Is this going to be enough to help the President's image?

    Go Tony!!

I don't know about helping the president's image, but it is a good appointment. Tony won't take any guff from the badgers in the press room.

I am not entirely sure the shake ups at the WH have to do with Bush's approval... though I expect it will improve a little over time. Snow will be a much better spokesman for the policy and results in Iraq.

The critical factor in Bush's approval ratings is probably gasoline prices. The economy is good and possibly even getting stronger. The Iraq situation isn't nearly as bad from a historical perspective as the press and some politicians with ulterior motives want to promote. In fact historically speaking, it is going pretty well.

Amen! The last thing any free country needs are reporters that stand up and question the officials.
