Sept 10, 2001 Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld admits 2.3 trillion missing from the Pentagon.

"we looked everywhere but just couldn't find it" shrugged one government employee who wished to remain namless.

Then the world changed the very next day.

Later it was admitted that another amount went missing that brought the total to three trillion dollars.

"Oopies", one unidentified public official said. "Guess we should cut out that extra five minutes everyone is taking at break time" Another unidentified offical quipped.

It's been seven years and that's about all the coverage those ever vigilant protectors of liberty and justice the mainstream "free press" ever gave this story.

Seven long years and no "big story" for this story in the "conservative media", nothing from the liberal media.

Guess three trillion missing dollars isn't an interesting enough story to even make the back page of the Daily News.

Everybody knows everything little dirty detail about Britney Spears and her kids though.

So, no one cares about the missing money?

The next day the Pentagon is hit and they "lose" the files in a fire caused by an "airplane" hitting the Pentagon, operation inside job 911?

Are people truly satisfied to remain willfully ignorant?
    Guess so. :(

    Man, I feel your pain.

I understand the Social Security trust fund is also empty. I wonder how much money that is and where it went.

Well Carpro, Judging from the other replies It would seem the official approved response is "who cares"! Guess it's not "mainstream" enough to hold government responsible anymore.

I thought it was rhetorical. No I haven't got a clue and from the looks of how the MSM is treating the story I probably never will.

Do remember when conservatives used to worry about government spending and waste? Ah, the good ole days.
