Nfl Realignment

    What do you think of this NFL realignment?

    1. NORTH EAST
    Buffalo
    New England
    New York Jets
    *NFL
    Tenneesee

    2. EAST

    Baltimore
    New York Giants
    Philadelphia
    Pittsburg
    Washington


    3. NORTHCENTRAL

    Chicago
    Detroit
    Green Bay
    Minesoata
    St Louis

    4. SOUTH

    Atlanta
    Carolina
    Jacksonville
    Miami
    Tampa Bay


    5. MIDWEST

    Cincinnati
    Cleveleand
    Indianapolis
    Las Vegas
    Kansas City

    6. SOUTHCENTRAL

    Arizona
    Dallas
    Denver
    Houston
    New Orleans


    7. WEST

    Los Angeles
    Oakland
    San Diego
    San Francisco
    Seattle


    Each division will have 5 teams

    season will be as follows:
    play each team in division...............2 x 4= 8 games
    play corresponding divisions............1 x 6= 6 games
    2 games as decided by league...............= 2 games
    .................................................t otal 16 games


    playoffs 7 division winners + 9 wildcard = 16 playoff teams

    The top 4 division winners recieve a bye the first two weeks
    division 5-7 and the top wild card recieve a first round bye

    In theory:

    week 1

    14 vs 11..... 15 vs 10..... 13 vs 12 ..... 16 vs 9.....

    Week 2

    11 vs 6...... 10 vs 7...... 12 vs 5........ 9. vs 8.....


    Week 3

    6 vs 3...... 7 vs 2...... 5 vs 4........ 8 vs 1.....

    Week 4

    3 vs 2...... 4 vs 1......


    Week 5 (Super Bowl)

    2vs 1......


    NOTE: The NFL team would play in a different city for each "home game"
    Tht would be cities without a NFL team - ie Syracuse, Portland, Richmond, ect

    Hate it. Besides, the NFL would never separate the Cowboys from their traditional rivals Wash, NYG, Philly. Other rivals have been separated, too. Something this drastic would only be done if the NFL were in dire straits, but they are doing great, so I wouldn't expect anything close to this happening.

    Any division without Cleveland and Pittsburgh in the same division is not for me.

    Too many playoff teams, too. You will have 6 - 10 and 7 - 9 teams making the playoffs. That's too NBA'ish for me.

    To keep teams regional - and thus form new rivals.
    BTW, I know that LA an LV do not have teams, but those would be recommended cities to bring the total up to 35 (7 div X 5 teams)

    Jerry Jones will NEVER let the boys our of a division that includes the NY Football Giants, Washington Redskins or the eagles

    Dont understand how Tennessee gets into the NE with several other teams much closer.

    Las Vegas and LA get expansion teams? Interesting.
    The Nasvhille Titans play in the NE?

    But back to your question: I've finally found something I dislike less than the bailout plan :laugh:

    I assume you mean something you dislike more than the bailout and I agree.

    Dallas is definitely a deal breaker and SaltCityBaptist should have Toronto instead of Buffalo. ;)
