Does anyone have this Bible? Is it good?

I happened to see it at Borders the other day and the study notes looked really interesting. I am not a fan of the NIV - I wish it were offered in the NASB but I don't think it is.

However, I am thinking of getting it for the notes and information (and using my NASB along with it).

If anyone likes or dislikes it or knows anything about it, please respond!

Please don't make comments on the NIV translation - that's not what I'm asking about. Thanks.

My husband received it as a gift from a friend of ours who is a Baptist pastor. It is fascinating and has some great stuff in it in terms of archaeological notes.

I have it and I love it. I think the reason it is only in the NIV is because it's a Zonderven exclusive; I don't think they publish a NASB. I really do enjoy it though.

Marcia, if you're interested in biblical archeology there is a pretty good archeological section in the Thompson's Chain Reference Bible. You may consider this as an alternative because it is available in various Bible versions.
