Not in the wording of the fourth commandment I haven't. Not in the creation account I haven't. And it is from these two accounts the doctrine of the fourth commandment must be interpreted not from the SDA or the CGSD propaganda books.

A Person cannot fear God until they are regenerated, and the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom ! Ps 110:10

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Also the fear of the Lord is beginning of Knowledge, spiritual knowledge Prov 1:7

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Now if this is True, then one cannot believe in Jesus Christ without Knowledge of who He is and what He has done, for whom He done it for and why !

This consideration gives us to understand that one cannot possible believe on Christ savingly without being first regenerated

    How about believing the bible

LUKE 4 [14] And JESUS returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.[15] And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.[16] And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, AS HIS CUSTOM WAS, he WENT INTO THE SYNAGOGUE ON THE SABBATH DAY, and stood up for to read.

    JESUS kept the sabbath

ACTS 17 [2] AND PAUL, AS HIS MANNER WAS, went in unto them, and three SABBATH DAYS reasoned with them out of the scriptures,[3] Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.

    PAUL kept the sabbath

ACTS 13 [42] And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, THE GENTILES besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.[43] Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.[44] And THE NEXT SABBATH DAY CAME ALMOST THE WHOLE CITY TOGETHER TO HEAR THE WORD OF GOD.

GENTILES come together on the sabbath to hear the WORD.

Can you show me in scripture where the Word of God actually changes or does away with the sabbath day of rest Biblicist? Anywhere in the new testament? How about in the old testament? Anywhere?

By the way Biblicist, in my whole life ive never met anyone who claimed the 4th commandment had nothing to do with a weekly sabbath. Every baptist, catholic, and everyone ive ever talked with knows the 4th commandment is about the weekly sabbath. What religion does your beliefs stem from?

THE SABBATH AND THE NEW TESTAMENT SAINT

In their writings to the churches, the Apostles only mentioned the sabbath three times:

    (1) The sabbath is a symbol of salvation rest in Christ (Heb. 4).

    (2) The New Testament believer is not bound to keep the sabbath (Col. 2:9-17).

    (3) The New Testament believer has liberty in the matter of holy days (Rom. 14:1-23).

Those who claim that the sabbath is binding upon the Christian, are teaching contrary to apostolic doctrine.

“The sabbath relates to the old creation and was given expressly to Israel; the Lord’s Day relates to the new creation and belongs especially to the church. The sabbath speaks of law as six days of labor which are followed by rest, but the Lord’s day speaks of grace, for we begin the week with rest that is followed by works” (Wiersbe’s Old Testament Outlines).

Why, then, did Jesus keep the sabbath? He kept the sabbath for the same reason He kept all the other Mosaic laws. (He also observed the feasts.) Jesus did these things because He was born a Jew, born under the law, that He might fulfill it and redeem His people from its penalty and bondage (Gal. 4:4; Rom. 9:5).

    Hello Freds Wife
We seem to be wandering off the question of this thread. If you wish to discuss the sabbath maybe we should start a thread and discuss it there. What ya think?

I only said that the fourth commandment cannot be restricted to one day in seven because God's application of the fourth commandment is far wider than day in seven. God applies to the seventh, fourteenth, twenty-first, twenty eighth days of the month BUT he also applied it to the first, eighth, fifteenth and twenty second days of the month also. He also applied it to the tenth day of the Seventh Month. In addition he applied it to the Seventh MONTH which was also the FIRST month of the civil year. He also applied it to the Seventh YEAR in addition to the FIRST YEAR after the Seventh year.

Hence, in the ceremonial law the Sabbath is routinely applied to the SEVENTH and the FIRST in regard to days, months and years.

The SEVENTH is under the OLD Covenant and SIN CURSED EARTH while the FIRST is under the NEW Covenant and the NEW heaven and earth.

I was just following your lead, Chowmah. You were the one who started the Sabbath discussion, not me. I'm not interested in discussing it elsewhere. That's already been done and it leads to nowhere and nobody is edified.
