Time Magazine did an article on non-Catholics starting to join Catholics in their worship of Mary.

As Jim pointed out with his reference to Rev 22 - the act of bowing before the Angel was forbidden.

In the recent article from Time on the life and history of the last Pope - it included comments about the article on the worship of Mary.

In there you find Catholics posting that they view Mary as our intercessor/mediator etc in heaven (but in a nice kinda way). And it "Seemed" that they were recognizing the protestant actions as somehow joining with them.

My question is -- what is the "new" or "recent" trend among non-Catholics to join with the RCC practice in mariolotry?

Are they reallying copying it verbatim - or are they being "snookered" into thinking that they are not going to far -- but still doing it anyway?

Does it have anything to do with the RC idea of "communicating with the dead" (dead in Christ 1Thes 4) and then calling it "a good thing"?

Do they think Mary was assumed into heaven as per the RC tradition?

    In Christ,

    Bob

Haven't heard of this trend. The only trend I know of from Baptists is to refute the false teaching and ridicule it.

On the other hand, there are those who follow the post modern heresy and they are probably the ones getting caught up in this false teaching.
