You were only asking eh? You "only asked" how many times? You say you want to teach but I haven't seen you teach. Yes, you had a point and I won't let you tell me you didn't.

I don't care whether you say anything nice to me or not. The fact that it would be misconstrued would be your own fault due to certain things you have said in the past. [IMG]

"You say I mock by preaching the gospel?" You only wish. Again...implying that I am not saved...

Well I disagree with you, because scripture says that Jesus laid down his glory to become a man, then in John 17:5 Jesus says in praying to the Father, "Now, Father, glorify me with that glory I had with you before ever the world existed." Two questions:

Was Jesus a man before the world existed?

Did man exist before man was created?

YOU must answer those two questions.

If the Father restored Jesus to his former Glory per Jesus' request, then Jesus is not man in the way that we know and understand man! Therefore, I do not agree with you when you say that Jesus is presently a man!

I do believe that Jesus is God the Son, and that His glorified body retains the "appearance" or form of Man, but I do not believe that He is Man in the sense that we know man!

Disagree. I believe that Jesus is a glorified Man and our bodies will be as His when we meet Him.
Revelation implies Jesus is coming back as a glorified Man. If He does not, then what will our bodies be like? We shall be like Him...

The answer to both your questions is no. That doesn't prove your point though. BTW, no need to shout at me. I am not shouting at you.

You say the answer to both questions is "no!" How can it be then, if God restores Jesus to the "glory" that Jesus had before the world, before the first flesh and blood man was created, that Jesus would be a flesh and blood man as we are?

I'm not shouting at you, I'm emoting my conversation with you! I'm using dynamics for em-pha-sis!

    Hello KJ.
Why is it necessary to believe Jesus is a man KJ? It does not affect salvation does it?
You say you can trust in scripture but you give none? You are saying that we can believe your word that it is the word but the word tells us to be noble. Acts 17:11 Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

Using scripture is noble and must be used along with your message.

Jesus is a man is He not Wes? Just asking.
My first question had that along as shotgun. Came in handy I see. Enough said.
I do not mind asking the same question more than once! HaHa! Some might tell you. What's that got to do with anything?
At least I haven't damaged the Kingdom then. That's a relief!
You can't stop me telling you. I had no point but what I said. I can't make you believe me you mean?
    I don't care you don't care.
We all have crosses of our own making. Your attitude is acceptable to me as it will give me reason to be more cautious thanks.
I have no idea what the sentences are about really.
You said to me of Wes, "...instead of mocking him and leaving him in his error."
I replied that I did no mocking but I preached the gospel to Him. Whoever believes is saved." Is the gospel I preach.
How you get Again...implying that I am not saved... is beyond me? Bring it into the light so we can all see it please and I can get ten days off!
If wishes were horses beggers would ride.
I'm sorry but could you explain what you mean please.

By the way, what do you interpret "glorified" to mean in this context?

John...yep you had a point. I'm beginning to think you don't even see it.

To be saved you have to believe Jesus is a Man? yep. Man and God. That...or no salvation.

As for most of what you said....*yawn*

As for the pound of cow manure...you were trying to make me look bad and use the "all things are pure" verse out of context so I wanted you to put your money where your mouth is. All things are pure so eat a pound of cow manure. [IMG]

    Wes, "glorified".

Please tell me Wes, how are you going to see Him come back? How is a non person going to be sitting on a throne? How are YOU going to have a resurrected body that is like His, if He doesn't even have a body? This argument is nonsense. Jesus either rose from the dead bodily or He did not. If He did, then logic says He still has that body.

Wes, when I over emphasize with exclamation marks it is because I am shouting. That is how it is with most people.

To answer your question though, God restores Him to His former glory...reigning in heaven and not bound by the things He was bound by on earth. He gave up His Kingship, etc. to come to earth and be poor, to live like us, to work, sweat, bleed and cry...even have a drink of wine. I think that's what it means.

    Hello KJ.
Point about the manure is that? I did ask.
Might be you with the ten days off.
The God Man. But then the thief on the cross might disagree with you as I'm sure Wes will. We are saved by grace not knowledge though one must hear.
It is not given to man as a food source but as a plant food to help it grow well.

    Hello KJ.
God is Sovereign and as such Jesus never gave up His Kingship.

The Servant King. Praise His Name.

The Exclamation mark is not an indicator of emotion, it is an indicator of statement! It is declarative, more than it is emotive!

It is a form of emphasis that tends to set the tone. So, when I use the exclamation mark I am merely making a statement. Where as when I use a period (.) I am merely ending a thought.

If you are overly sensitive, you will take my statements as shouting at you when they are not!

John said "Point about the manure is that? I did ask." Huh? I said you had a point about the Jesus being a man thing.

as for ten days off...why? what did I do? Nothing wrong and certainly nothing worse than YOU have done.

to bes saved, you have to believe that Jesus is fully God and fully Man. If He wasn't God, He couldn't die for your sins. If He wasn't man, He couldn't die for your sins. Are you going to contradict that? Saved by grace, yeah. but grace from whom??? Barney Fife? Or the God Man? 'nuff said.

"God is Sovereign and as such Jesus never gave up His Kingship." then teach me oh pompous one. What did it mean for Him to give up His former glory? And you really don't make sense...a Sovereign Servant King? You seem to have trouble with words having meaning now.

Re: the cow manure issue. Then don't take the "all things are pure" verse out of context again.

Wes...I answered your question. If you can't see that then I would only be wasting my time. You would only repeat yourself and I don't want to make you do that. It was fun...I guess I will leave you to debate with someone who treats you like you are a fool. g'day mate...

You guys need to lighten up. KJ, it seems obvious that the 10 days comment was a joke. John first used it on himself, it appears to me, and then switched it to you becuase you appeared to be questioning someone's salvation. Let's avoid that. There is no need to do that. Talk about issues not people. And there was certainly no need to bring cow manure into this. Why can't we just have a civil conversation??

What makes you think that Jesus was in a "Kingship" prior to being conceived in the womb of a human female.

Did Jesus appear in Heaven in the flesh and blood form of man prior to actually being conceived in a human body?

I'll bet you are of the opinion that "the image of God" means that God looks like us! That he walks as a homo-erectus, that he has a voice formed by vocal chords, that his eyes are like ours spherical with lenses and irises, and that he has hair on his head, etc. Therefore our being made in the image of God ensures that we all look like him!

Jesus told us himself that God is spirit! Before Jesus was conceived in the womb of a human, did he exist?

He, being God, must have been spirit TOO! To be restored to his former Glory, he must have been restored to Spirit!

We talk about God in all his Glory, whatever does that mean? Do you think that God the Father is in the form of MAN sitting on his throne?

Why is it that "no man has seen God and lived"? Does God kill all those who see Him? Or is it because natural man in physical form cannot see spirit, and that only when we die from the natural physical realm are we able to see spirit?

What is you impression of God and Angels, and Heavenly Hosts? Are they physical?

I think before you question my beliefs you need to express your very own personal beliefs as I have mine.

Not according to scriptures! To be saved one needs to believe that Jesus is the Son of God, the Christ come in the flesh. Scripture does not say we must believe that JESUS IS fully God and fully man, only that while He was among us He was God in the Flesh!
