Please expand on this. I can think of two or three ways you might be headed but I hesitate to comment until I know which which one.

How do you knw what goes on after the advertising after people see a commercial and attend a church? Have you asked everyone whose attended a church with a commercial to be sure your opinion is factual?
If not, you can have no real idea what each church is doing.

I never said anything about people being saved and having their lives changed watching a commercial. you added that, not me.
But don't ever assume God can't.
You think prehaps a person can't see a commercial for a church decide to visit that church, and hear the gospel, be saved, have their lives changed?

you have to meet people where they are, not where you wish they were.

I'm not sure what you think your assuming here, but I have never seen a single person like you have described, and I know many commercials for churches, and not one of them have one of these 'high paid executives living in their mansion'. Therefore, once again you assumption about churches that advertise is false.

You really do not know of any? It is not hypothetical at all. Look at how much is spent on advertising and satellite dishes among those on TV. Look at the salaries among some pastors and compare that to the people they pastor.

Compare that to what E.M. Bounds wrote. Compare that to what Spurgeon did with the large sums of money he was given. Compare that to pastor T.C. Jester for whom a street in Houston is named after. Compare that to what Paul did with his money. Compare that to what Wesley did with his money.

When someone is given resources, God expects them to be good stewards of it and use it wisely. When one consults godly counsel I cannot for one minute imagine any amount of godly counsel advising one to lay up for themselves treasures on earth. Isn't the leader suppose to be the chief servant.

A good example of what America and even Christians think is displayed in how they treat their servants and the lowly in society. Sometime when you get a chance ask some foreign students about what they see.

What the Church needs to-day is not more machinery or better, not new organizations or more and novel methods, but men whom the Holy Ghost can use -- men of prayer, men mighty in prayer. The Holy Ghost does not flow through methods, but through men. He does not come on machinery, but on men. He does not anoint plans, but men -- men of prayer. E. M. Bounds

Does he ever have real imformation that is accurate to his claims?
    Answer: No.

Notice how he started with high paid execs and when you asked for names he quickly switched to high paid pastors in general and expence in advertising.

    Seriously though, it is sad.

I am just waiting for him to name who I suspect he is talking about. Hint, his initials are PP.

Oh I know who he always makes reference to. I just wish he'd stop the accusation and actaully state facts.
