I guess a radio station from Canada did a prank call on Sarah. It wasn't too bad but it wasn't good either.

I'm starting to feel sorry for her. Our allies are making fun of her.

So are you. So it sounds like you are no better than they are.

I don't make fun of her, I stick with the facts (unless I'm joking).

@Rev... It still doesn't look good for her secretary that she didn't screen the call any better before putting the VP candidate on the phone. I guess you're right it's one radio station but they also have a listening audience.

To be fair, if this was done to Obama, just how long do you think until it was posted here?

I'm never "nice" to people I don't know that call me because I know just how sorry they can be.

I don't have any problem at all with Palin's handling of this call - she was merely trying to be polite to someone who claimed to be someone they were not. The failure here is first in those who pulled this prank - liars and impostors, second in those that circulate it as entertaining humor, and third those that think - even hopefully so - that it somehow reflects negatively on Palin.

Didn't know that. I thought it was their first for a politician. I would think there would be more screening of the calls before you got to someone on that level. Maybe it's just me...

If you saw what I wrote, I condemned her admin for putting the call through.

This prank was played by two French-Canadian comedians and not a radio station. At the end of the so-called interview, they admitted who they were and Mrs. Palin just laughed heartily at them. She took it all in good humour. I just saw the whole broadcast on the Canadian news tonight. No one here in Canada made much of the prank and no one belittled Palin for taking the prank.

    Cheers,

    Jim

This kind of stuff isn't good humor because it can hurt someone. It's the work or liars and impostors. Let's call it what it is.

Take it for what it is and get over it. Mrs. Palin did.

All comedians lie to some degree in their so-called humour. The act it out on stage and on radio in the early days..Burns and Allen lied a whole routine that didn't happen in life...Jack Benny did also, Jackie Gleason and the list goes on. If we use your criteria, every movie is a lie, including the so-called Christian movies.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Nope! Liars and impostors are liars and impostors and they're not funny. There's a big difference between this and entertainment. This kind of thing can hurt people and that's never funny. It doesn't matter which side is attacked either. Get real and stop making excuses for them among your people.

Not just you, with secret service on her constantly the phone would be a good place to secure!

Then it is time you hit the American who totes the line:

    socialism=communism=no God...

This is a pure lie also. Canada has enjoyed socialism since the 50's; England has enjoyed socialism since 1945; Sweden has been socialist for years, as have a number of European countries and none of us are communist and we are no more godless than is the US of A.

    Be real.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I'll refrain from rating the degree to which various nations are Godless because we're all hopelessly lost without salvation through Jesus Christ and even so we still have a tendency towards sin albeit no longer slaves to it. There are devout Christians in every nation on earth and, in fact, some of the sweetest are probably in those places where they are oppressed by their governments.

It is very clear to me, from my international travels and experiences, that countries that are communist put the state above all else including God - if "allowing" Him at all - and countries that are socialist look to the state above everything else and very often God as well. To these people government is the answer to every problem and the only secure rights are those of the state. They seek to remove the individual, the family, and the Church from any position of authority or power in society. If you dare to object you will be "re-educated" under force of law and made to comply. It is also clear to me that neither system works very well and the people are the ultimate losers in both. They suffer from excessive taxes, greatly limited freedoms, and government imposed thinking and teaching. I wouldn't trade any of the big government ideas of the countries you mentioned for the fundamentals of what established here in America. If any thing I'd like to see is return closer to our roots.

We have in America an ever increasing degree of attack on Christianity and there are many who are seeking to remove God from the public view, deny His existence and His hand in creation, deny His plan for design of mankind and his relationships even in the heart of the family, deny His Word as our special revelation, and replace Him with our own ideas of what's right or wrong and with our own creations even in the form of an endless stream of government social programs. We are moving towards what we previously stood against. The "re-education" process is already established and at work especially in our government schools over the objections of all others.

As for pranks in general they are often hurtful to its victims and yet funny to those who observe or perpetrate them. They're often accompanied by a loud proclamation of "What's the matter - you can't take a joke?" through which blame is transferred from the one doing the prank to the one receiving it.

It seems like you're wanting America to become more like the socialist nations of the world!

Sit down, LeBuick, and rethink what you're asking for! America is great because it is different!

Study the history of failures in these experiments. Don't be fooled by all the promises of utopia.
