The words "Lord, let the words..." form a request. The person saying this is not declaring that their words are God's words, they are requesting of God that their words be his words. I think that is roughly equivalent to Peter's instruction.

OK, Webdog, I'm trying to track with you and see what you are saying. Here is the statement you are arguing against again:

It's possible that the person praying this has an incorrect attitude, but the statement itself does not seem to say what you accuse it of. The person says "let the words...be from you". How does this disagree with Peter's instruction that the person who speaks should speak as the oracle of God?
And this comment:

If a person is asking to speak "ex cathedra" then I agree that they are out of line. But asking that my words be "from God" is really no different from asking to be filled with the Holy Spirit. There is nothing wrong with this.

 

The heat is off now, itis 57 today. We always use visiting preachers, how come Mark didn't use you?

It's his responsibility to feed his flock. I've preached there before though for special occasions.

A good man is coming up to preach revival services at the church there starting Sunday.

 

Yea, I was told Mark''s former Pastor I believe they said was coming. We do our services much different than you do though. We usually have 3 preachers on Sunday. One to introduce the service and lead prayer, then we have what we call the doctrine preacher follow and then someone who does not take long to close. Our services usually last about 1 and 1/2 hours, sometimes a little longer.
