Nothing changes in Syria if we accept Russia's "proposal"

... At the same time, conventional weapons were still being used to pound Syria's people, demonstrating that a settlement to the bloody civil war could still be a long way off.​

It is no solution at all. Innocent Syrians continue to die, just not by chemistry, but by the infliction of mortal wounds through conventional means. The Great Pretender will claim victory, that the "threat" of U.S. intervention brought Assad "to his knees" or some similar pile of horse hockey. The reality is, the occupier of the White House has no sense of morality, no sense of conviction, no sense of doing the right thing.

And Syrians will continue to die while he does a "victory dance" in front of the American people tonight.
