Okay. You're there and the people are looking to you for guidance on forming their new government. So far, the new constitution is looking much like what America's Founding Fathers created. Borrowing from the Scriptures and the lessons learned from history, what are some of the things you would change? This can be about any issue.

One thing that comes to mind is vetos and amendments. I would change the majority required to override a presidential veto or to amend the new constitution. I think a 4/5 majority would better serve the interests of freedom.

I would have an article defining human life beginning at conception.

Let's throw in some term limits. Our forfathers never expected career politicians to take over the country and do what benifitted themselves.

Though the intent and purpose of the Second Amendment is clearly stated, the arcane wording makes it difficult for uneducated folks to understand. I would reword it so that it said gun ownership is the right of the individual.

The Law is very explicit in most all cases, we interpret the law the same as we do the scripture to fit our already preconceived ideas.

What measures would you take to curb judicial activism?

One thing I would like to see is a line item veto. Maybe one way to curb judicial activisim would be to require both the House and Senate approve judicial appointments, especially to the Supreme Court. Also, maybe a part of the new Constitution should require laws to be ruled on based on orginal intent rather than evolving society.

Most of all, I would like to see functions of the Federal Government strictly limited to what is defined in the Constitution. For example, today that would eliminate the Department of Education, and give that power to the states where it belongs.

It would also be forbidden, as written in the Constitution, to engage in any world organization that in any way limited our sovreignty. Treaties and alliances would be limited to bilateral or multilateral agreements with other countries that were in our interest, with the approval of Congress.

Immigration laws would be strictly enforced, and trade would be a tool with the goal of making this country as self sufficient as possible. Never again would we be dependent on another country to the degree it would damage our national interests if the other country decides to cut us off.

Finally, never again would there be two parties so saturated by evil that neither has any interest in serving the American people. Leaders first goal would be to serve. There would be no lobbyists, pork, lifetime office holders, or any other mechanism that steals the life blood out of our citizens to feed the greed and power of the leaders of the two parties.

While always wanting freedom of religion for anyone to worship as they please, never again would Christians be put on the defensive to express their faith. If schools were at the local level or run by private entities, then prayer in school would be no problem. If someone does not want to hear the prayer, they are welcome to leave the class for five minutes.

Come to think of it, I would make gun ownership compulsory.

Repeal of the 17th amendment, and place the role of senatorial designees back on the states, rather than popular elections.

Only land owners and active military personnel would be allowed to vote.

Lets give Vermont, Massachusettes, and California to China to pay off the debt we owe them.

The Presidential election would be held only for electing the President. No other issues or offices could be decided on that day or ballot.

Well, before we give them those three gems, we might want to perfect our missle defense system.
